1 May 2024: The Australian Game Developer Awards (AGDAs) will be celebrated on the evening of Wednesday, 9 October 2024, in Melbourne as part of Melbourne International Games Week. The AGDAs showcase the best Australian-made games to not only a local but a global audience, and cements Australia’s reputation as a uniquely creative and technically capable community of game creators.
The AGDAs is one of the first awards shows on the global calendar of events, and recent winners such as Stray Gods: The Role-Playing Musical, Gubbins, Cult of the Lamb, and Unpacking have not only achieved glory at The AGDAs but also global recognition and success at awards ceremonies across the globe. With numerous and diverse game projects either recently released or imminently due, we expect 2024 to be no different.
Game submissions are now open for The AGDAs 2024, and it is the perfect way for developers to elevate their game creations. With 12 game awards categories and 3 career and culture awards, IGEA looks forward to again celebrating the talented teams and amazing individuals making an impact on industry and delivering this year’s unique and critically acclaimed games.
