IGEA will be celebrating the hugely talented and creative Australian games industry at the Australian Game Developer Awards (AGDAs) 2022 as an in-person, live event on Wednesday October 5th.
Last year the AGDAs had some highly regarded and memorable winners, such as Unpacking, The Forgotten City and The Artful Escape who have since gone onto achieve multiple award nominations and wins at a global level. This year we are hoping to have just as many incredible, high-quality games to showcase and celebrate for 2022.
Based on community feedback, we have once again updated and tweaked the categories to ensure wider recognition and reward for the industry.

The publicly available assessment criteria will also be updated in the coming month to reflect community feedback, as well as to add in our new awards.

The AGDAs are only made possible by the outstanding work of our curated judging panel. Each year we post a call-out for potential judges, to ensure a wide range of judging talent and experience from across the entire video games industry.
