12th May 2025: The 2025 Australian Game Developer Awards, affectionately known as the AGDAs, will elevate and celebrate the incredible Australian games industry. This prestigious event will take place on the evening of Wednesday, October 8th, at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre as part of Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW).
Previous AGDAs winners, include games such as like CONSCRIPT, Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical, Gubbins, Cult of the Lamb, Unpacking, Moving Out, Wylde Flowers, Untitled Goose Game and The Oregon Trail, all of which have garnered numerous accolades across the global awards circuit. The AGDAs showcase the immense talent of the Australian teams and individuals behind many highly creative and wonderfully innovative game projects.
This year, the AGDAs judging process has been updated in response to valuable feedback gathered through public survey and industry consultations. These conversations have helped shape a clearer process with improvements made to transparency, structure, and scoring. We’re grateful to everyone who contributed and helped strengthen the way we celebrate excellence in Australian game development.
