IGEA is delighted to announce that the 2020 AGDAs will be hosted by Jordan Raskopoulos.
Jordan is a well known and loved comedian, singer, writer, film maker, public speaker, streamer and games fanatic who has kept many of us entertained both before, and during iso.
Raelene Knowles, COO of IGEA commented, “The Australian Game Developer Awards (AGDAs) are an important way for us to showcase the creative and talented Australian games industry. 2020 will see us deliver the AGDAs virtually for the first time. This means more of us can come together and celebrate all of those individuals and teams making fabulous games that are keeping people all over the world entertained and connected.
“Having been involved with many of the creators in our space, it’s a no brainer that Jordan should be our host. We are delighted that she will be bringing all her creative skills to the AGDA ensuring that the event will be fun and engaging for all of us.”
Jordan Raskopolous says ‘I’m very excited to be hosting the AGDAs this year. The Australian games industry is such a wonderfully creative and innovative space and it’s an honour to be able to be a part of recognising those whose creations have brought so much joy to many. It is unfortunate that the world is keeping us from celebrating in person, but it seems somewhat fitting that we all get to enjoy the awards, digitally, in the comfort of our giant racing car gamer chairs.”
You can watch the AGDAs on Wed 7 October at 7PM @ https://www.twitch.tv/igea_au
